Casa Salesas, nestled in the heart of Madrid on Calle de Fernando VI, is a captivating Spanish restaurant that effortlessly blends a cozy ambiance with exquisite culinary delights. Upon entering, guests are welcomed by an elegant decor that sets a delightful tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The restaurant divides itself into two distinct areas: an energetic bar space on the first floor and a serene dining area above.
A myriad of reviews highlight the restaurant's standout attributes. Bella V raves about the complimentary bread, describing it as “out of this world,” and praises the overall deliciousness of the dishes. Azul lauds the expertly crafted cocktails, lively atmosphere, and the delightful tortilla, although he noted a minor seating issue. Terri Ezaki celebrated exceptional service and perfectly timed dishes, confirming that Casa Salesas is a fantastic place to savor a variety of starters paired with excellent wines.
However, not all reviews are glowing; Zain pointed out some inconsistencies, particularly with the cacio e pepe spaghetti and dessert, implying there might be room for improvement. Yet, despite these minor critiques, the heart of Casa Salesas beats strong with its vibrant energy and high-quality offerings. A visit to this restaurant promises not just a meal, but a remarkable night out immersed in Spanish culture.

I am in LOVE with this place! The atmosphere is super cozy, the restaurant is ‘divided’ in two: the first floor being more of a bar space while the second a calmer dining area. The restaurants is very beautifully decorated. The food was truly amazing and super delicious. The bread they bring as a compliment is out of this world! Service was also great, the only thing is that they had forgotten to bring me my dessert but apart from that everything came relatively fast. I will definitely be coming back and I recommend it if you haven’t been!
An incredible spot for cocktails, delicious tortilla, and fantastic music! The ambiance is lively, and the drinks are crafted to perfection. Flavio’s service was absolutely outstanding—attentive, friendly, and truly elevated our experience. The only downside was being seated at a hidden table despite the availability of other open spots, which is why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise, a must-visit for a great night out!
The bread was the best thing about the meal, warm, nice butter with some pieces of Parmesan. The bravas, the rabo de toro brioche and the cocktails were good. Nothing overly special. Cacio e pepe spaghetti was flavourless and the torrija was very bad. Quite expensive for what it is. Wouldn’t come back for dinner, maybe for a cocktail and some bites as the atmosphere is nice.
Very Instagrammable spot—beautiful interior design that sets a lovely vibe. The food was really good, and I loved the cheesecake—definitely a highlight. The only downside was the staff rushing us because of table timings, which made the experience feel a bit pressured. Still, it’s a nice place overall, and you can head downstairs for drinks at the bar after dinner, which is a great touch.
Our first night in Madrid could not have started better! Our concierge recommended Casa Salesas and it was fabulous! The food was excellent and the service Will provided was superior. There were 4 of us who ordered a variety of starters and each was served with perfection and outstanding timing. Will also did a marvelous job in recommending various wines to pair with the wide variety of dishes. All around marvelous experience!
The food was nice. However, my fish did not come as expected with a courgette parmentier and portions are not satisfying for the price paid. It is still a beautiful restaurant with caring attention.
lounge bar with delicious food and cocktails served with care. Music is a bit loud but not too loud that you can’t hear yourself. Seats are comfy ,the decoration is nice. I recommend the kale salad , the cod , the leek, and the artichoke.
Fantastic!! The food was so great! All on point. Dont mind my pictures everyone was hungry so there wasnt time enough for the pictures. Great ambiance the music the people everything! Better imposible. Recomended and after having dinner on the second floor, we moved down to the bar which had a DJ, with great music and full of people dancing etc. Its not cheap but its worth it. Oh and the coctails must try the house coctails!
